The building's owners are trying to do a lot of the project managing themselves but the speed bumps are starting to add up.

Time is running out for the developers of the Grant Hall here in Moose Jaw.

A Regina based company is trying to renovate the building into an assisted living centre but apparently problems with contractors is making it difficult.

City Manager Gary McKay tells us, unfortunately, time is running out. "Burrowing Owl Incorporation owns the Grant Hall Inn and we do have a tax exemption agreement with them. It basically has a December 31st, 2007 deadline of which they must be complete and operating in order to qualify for a tax exemption starting in 2008."

Several attempts at an interview with the developer have been unsuccessful and McKay says he hasn't been in touch with them for a few months so he isn't even sure how far along the project is.
