Saskatchewan looks good in the Conference Board of Canada's economic growth projections.  The Conference Board of Canada has released their new report and it looks good for Saskatchewan.

Enterprise and Innovation Minister Lyle Stewart, "The Conference Board of Canada has come out with new economic growth projections for 2009 and in the report the Conference Board said that massive income tax cuts combined with the swift increase in infrastructure spending will boost Saskatchewan's economy over the year by 1.6 percent."

Stewart says Saskatchewan will lead the country, "We're very happy about the 1.6 percent growth.  It's low by our recent standards of 5.4 percent last year, but it's substantially higher than the rest of the country which will come in with  a half a percent decrease in GDP growth over the year 2009."

Stewart adds that the labour market is expected to expand by 8,000 jobs in 2009.
