Harry Lin has been named this year's recipient of the Dubinsky Family Scholarship.

In 1982, the City of Moose Jaw entered into a trust agreement with Boris Dubinsky and Administrative Consultants Ltd. 

The purpose of the trust agreement was for the City of Moose Jaw to act as a trustee of the Dubinsky Family Educational Trust to establish a scholarship. The income from that trust is awarded annually to a graduating secondary school student, for post-secondary studies. 

Lin, graduated from Central Collegiate with a 99.7 per cent grade average. Lin has since been accepted to the University of Alberta, in the Bachelor of Science Honours Program.  

"Harry has participated in several extracurricular activities in school including badminton, and track and field. He has also been heavily involved with competitive tennis and swimming for many years," said Mayor Clive Tolley

Lin has held various jobs in the community such as coaching tennis, working for Elections Canada, and at Prairie Berries. He also volunteered with the Moose Jaw Flying Fins Swim Club, and at the Wakamow Indigenous Pow-Wow.
