Heartland Hospice Moose Jaw is holding its Black and White Semi-Formal Gala fundraiser on May 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grant Hall.

Entertainment for the night will be supplied by the three-piece jazz band Carter Powley and the Chop Shop.

There will be a number of inspirational and memorial items that will be sold through a silent auction. Items for the silent auction are still being accepted. For more information, you can email gala@hhmj.ca.

“We have some guest speakers lined up, Tim McLeod, Moose Jaw MLA North, is going to be speaking as well as the Bradfords and a special guest singer. We're also going to be revealing the number from our Tim Horton's Smile Cookie campaign that we're doing right now,” said Amanda Dowling, board member for Heartland Hospice and chair of the fundraising and public engagement committee.

At the end of the evening, Heartland Hospice will update the public on the progress of its capital campaign.

Dowling said all of the funds raised through the gala will go back into Heartland Hospice’s capital campaign.

“Through our capital campaign, we are hoping to increase the number of dedicated hospice rooms to three. We are also going to be developing a family room, a sacred space, and further developing our outdoor serenity garden,” she said.

Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased at sasktix.ca
