Motorists remain at a standstill this morning as highways across the district remain closed in the wake of the first snowfall of the season.

The following highways are closed, according to the Highway Hotline, as of 11:00 a.m.:

The Trans-Canada Highway from Rush Lake to Chaplin and from Moose Jaw to 301. The section from Chaplin to Moose Jaw and Hwy 301 to Regina is open but travel isn't recommended.

Highway 2 from Moose Jaw to the U.S. Border and from North Jct Hwy 363 to Jct Hwy 1,

Highway 36 to the U.S. Border,

Highway 11 from Aylesbury to Lumsden,

Highway 354,

Highway 301,

Highway 363 from Moose Jaw to Old Wives and from Neidpath to Shamrock,

Highway 13 from Limerick to East Jct Hwy 36,

Highway 18 West Jct Hwy 36 to Rockglen,

Highway 19 from North Jct Hwy 363 to Jct Hwy 1 and,

Highway 39 from Jct Hwy 16 to North Jct Hwy 363 to Jct Hwy 1.

Within Moose Jaw city limits, crews are working to clear roads and parking lots. Main roads have been cleared, but residential roads haven't been plowed.
