Homestand '22 is officially a go.

The second annual concert, put on by Riverstreet Promotions, will be held at Ross Wells Park on September 10, featuring Matt Mays, Chilliwack, Nice Horse, and JJ Voss.

Proceeds from the event will be going towards the further beautification of Ross wells park and youth mental health initiatives in the Prairie South School Division.

James Murdock, a member of Riverstreet Promotions and organizer of the event, says the group is excited to host the concert once again. "Ross Wells Park is a gem, the history of it is so iconic and it's just such a great setting," says Murdock.

He also says it is an event you can bring the whole family to, "It's so great to see families with their young ones and just throwing a blanket down on the grass and hanging out together."

The festivities will start in the afternoon, as the team is planning on broadcasting the Banjo Bowl on the big screens. "Once the Rider game concludes, we just go right into the bands, so I think it will give a good build-up to when the bands start performing."

Murdock says concert-goers should plan to show up in their Rider gear.

Tickets are available here. General Admission tickets will be sold at a discounted early bird price in May.
