The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a house fire this morning at the 1500 block of Coteau Street.

The fire department received the call around 10:14 a.m. and both halls the north and south hill halls responded.

When the fire crews arrived, smoke was coming out of the eavestroughs, the roof, and around the doors and windows.

According to the fire department, the occupants were not home at the time of the fire, so no injuries were reported. The house sustained significant smoke and heat damage.

Fire crews have since left and the area is now open to traffic.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and under investigation by the fire inspector.
