October 16th is the last meeting for the current city council as we prepare to vote October 25th in a civic election.

Moose Jaw City Hall is preparing for the change of command that comes with the election on October 25th.

City Administration is currently preparing a briefing book for the new council outlining the budgets for each department and the current projects on the table.

But the work didn't just start in recent weeks. City Manager Gary McKay says its been happening all summer long. "There's one more council meeting with this council. Throughout the summer we tried to clear the deck by bringing most of the stuff in by the end of September but there's still the business of the city that has to continue so if we require approval of council for something we will bring it forward on the 16th."

Wednesday night we will get a chance to meet out candidates for city council and for Mayor at an all candidates forum.

It starts at 7 o'clock at Peacock Collegiate.
