Saskatchewan Party Health Critic Don McMorris has joined the call for the provincial government to step up and start the Union Hospital upgrades.

They say we need to invest in our health and our future here in Moose Jaw.

Local doctors gathered Tuesday at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital to send out a unified message that the expansion of the Union Hospital needs to start sooner rather than later.

Plans are for a new wing, which will include a new surgical centre. City Hall is already taxing us for our share of the project but we're still waiting for provincial funding.

Sask. Party Health Critic Don McMorris calls the situation frustrating.

"This is a project that needs to go ahead, has to go ahead, and I know that I've heard from our candidates that have been door knocking that its among the top issues around Moose Jaw."

McMorris says the NDP government has made 300 million dollars worth of commitments this summer with not one word about the Union Hospital.
