The Little Princess Ball is an annual fundraising event held in support of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation (MJHF), with this year’s proceeds going towards the Women’s Health Unit at Dr. F.H Wigmore Hospital.

Through ticket sales, concession, an auction and a raffle this year’s Little Princess Ball raised $35,551.91 which was formally presented to the MJHF last week.

Kate Szeles, co-chair of the Little Princess Ball committee, said that the money is being used to purchase a new panda bed.

“It’s a piece of equipment that they use, where once a baby enters the world, they can put the baby on this bed, and it will take all their vitals and keep the baby warm,” said Szeles.

“It’s just a really good piece of equipment to help them with babies in their first few minutes of life.”

The additional panda bed will join the four beds currently providing valuable medical information and comfort for newborns at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Hospital.

“We will be starting our planning for Princess Ball 2025 in the fall, people can stay tuned to our Facebook page for any information about that!” said Szeles.

“If anybody’s interested in helping out, I encourage them to reach out on our Facebook page.”
