It's incredible, really.  The works of art on display this week at the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery.

The 18 pieces will go to lucky collectors on Friday night in a raffle-style event at the gallery.  100 tickets will be sold for $50 apiece.

What's most remarkable is the fact the 18 pieces all come from local Saskatchewan artists, including a number who call Moose Jaw home.

The art includes beautiful clay pieces, jewelry made with hand-pulled glass rods fused together in a pendant on a silver chain, lovely paintings and drawings.

The work is from local artists including Rob Froese, Laura Hamilton, Sue Hunchuk, Russell Mang, Wendy Parsons and Devon Dietrich and Zach Dietrich.

You know, we Canadians are humble - to a fault sometimes.  However, we're starting to get better at celebrating our people - celebrating each other.  This week, local, talented, gifted artists are getting some of the recognition they deserve at the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery.
