The Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce is warning local businesses about a potential phone scam.

Office Administrator Heather Bergdahl sent out an email Thursday morning to give businesses a heads-up.

"Just yesterday, even our office, we had a call from a business called Priority Pay. I've never heard of it before and they are telling our members and potentially other future members that they are calling about their chamber membership and in relation to that, they're looking up their credit card/debit processing payment machine."

Bergdahl notes this organization is not affiliated with the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce.

She advises local businesses to call the chamber directly if they have questions or are interested in becoming a member.
