Donald Keith McKenzie, aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, January 7th, 2013. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 14th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Moose Jaw Alliance Church, 9th Avenue and Thatcher Drive W. Pastor Michael Wall will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Don was born on the farm at Froude, SK on January 1st, 1929 to a family of 8. He went to school in the district and graduated at the age of 16, then attended the University of Saskatchewan studying Theology. Don became a CPR Station Agent, beginning his career in Willows, SK. He retired after 35 years of service. Don then began work as a Frontiersman for 10 years and at the Honda Shop for 3 – 5 years. He was predeceased by his father, mother, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, infant son David Shawn and his first wife Iris. Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Mickey; children: Bryan, Janice, Kevin, Kelly, Laurie, Shelley and Dena and their spouses; as well as 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. He will be remembered by his friends at AA, the large community of motorcyclists in Moose Jaw, his friends at Eaton’s and so many more. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Don’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2M2.
