The Moose Jaw Miller Express to a convincing 8-1 win over the Swift Current 57s on Wednesday night for their second straight win. It is also the second win during a three-game road swing. 

Moose Jaw got off to a quick start with four runs in the top of the first. The Miller Express then drove in single runs in the second, third, sixth and seventh innings to take an 8-0 lead. 

Swift Current’s lone run came in the bottom of the ninth inning. 

Wyatt Tweet and Owen Robbins each went two-for-five at the plate and drove in two RBIs. 

Matt Vasquez got the start on the mound for the Miller Express. He went eight innings, giving up four hits and no runs while striking out three. Garrett Houston pitched the final inning, allowing one run off two hits. 

The Miller Express are back home at Ross Wells Park on Thursday to face the Regina Red Sox. Gametime is 7 p.m.
