The Moose Jaw Miller Express’s losing streak was extended to six games on Monday night, after being blanked by the Regina Red Sox 4-0 at Currie Field.

Regina now only sits a half-a-game back of Moose Jaw in the Western Canadian Baseball Leagues East Division.

All the Red Sox offense came in the game's first two innings, picking up two runs apiece in each inning.

In the second inning, Regina would add two more runs off the bats of Zane Zielinski and Mike Kenney to lead 4-0.

After that, a pitcher's duel went deep into the ball game. Miller's starter Kellan Voggesser pitched five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and six strikeouts, with three relievers following.

His counterpart Klevert Martina went eight scoreless innings, giving up six hits while striking out eight Millers’.

Moose Jaw will be back at Ross Wells Park on Tuesday night as they host the Swift Current 57s – with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
