With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, one on, and down by one run, Nate Mensik hits a walk-off home run to give the Moose Jaw Miller Express the 5-4 win over the Swift Current 57s.

Up until that point the Millers never had the lead, as Swift Current was able to hold Moose Jaw to only three runs going into the bottom of the ninth with a 4-3 lead.

Zach Campbell, Brian Reyes. Parker Dorrance and Hudson Barrett all went two-for-four at the plate. Mensik drove in two runs, while Dorrance, Luke LeChance, and Barrett all drove one run apiece.

Marietta, Georgia product Nick Hill went two and a third innings strong, allowing zero runs, two hits, and striking out two 57s batters, to give him his second win of the season.

The win gives Moose Jaw their 17th win of the season and now holds a four-game lead over Swift Current in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division.

The Millers will begin a two-game road trip Wednesday night as they travel south to Weyburn to tackle the Beavers, followed by a trip to Regina on Thursday to battle the Red Sox.

Moose Jaw will be back at home for their “Canada Day Clash” and host the Weyburn Beavers. The Millers will be hosting a tailgate party before Friday’s game from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
