The Moose Jaw Major AAA All-Stars have rebounded with two huge wins and are in contention at the 2022 Canadian Regional Little League Tournament in Calgary, Atla.  

Moose Jaw began the tournament with a tough 15-5 loss to Team BC on Thursday, but shook that off and came back with a walk-off 8-7 win over Team Atlantic.  

Team Atlantic got things rolling to start the game after putting up two quick runs on a 0-2 count triple with two on to clear the bases.  

The AAA All-Stars would add one in their half of the first to cut the lead to 2-1. Moose Jaw tied the game in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at 2-2.  

After the Sydney, NS, team picked up two runs in the top of the third to go up 4-2, the Major All-Stars would unleash four runs off the bats of Emery Schoenroth, Nigel Legare, and Kaiden Gadd.  

Three innings later, Moose Jaw would find themselves down 7-6 heading into their last half inning. Luke Turner would be the hero after the team was able to tie the game, Turner would hit a single to score the winning run, and pick up their first win.  

Turner led the team at the plate going 3-4 with an RBI. Legare picked up a hit and a pair of RBIs. Neal Kohl picked up the win on the mound pitching two and a third innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out six.  

After getting their first win under their belts Moose Jaw came back on Saturday and their strong offence overpowered Team Alberta winning 10-6.  

With a four-run lead going into the fourth inning, the All-Stars put up six runs to lead 10-1 and never looked back after that.  

Dillion Flanagan and Zaid Guillaume were the offence picking up four RBIs apiece, with Guillaume hitting a Grand Slam, and Flanagan a home run.  

Trey Stanhope went two and two-thirds innings on the mound, giving up three runs on four hits and picking up the win.  

Moose Jaw will look to continue their winnings ways Monday afternoon as they take on the 1-2 Ontario squad at 3:30 p.m.
