This summer, fundraising has kicked off for the Timothy Eaton Gardens. Moose Jaw Families for Change (MJFC) is running a bottle drive to raise money for the Gardens. The organization is hoping the community can come out and help support the cause.

Katie Statler, the Community Coordinator of Moose Jaw Families for Change, explained how anyone can get involved in the bottle drive.

"For our recycling, for our cause, to save Timothy Eaton Gardens, Folks can donate either Monday to Fridays 8-4pm, at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre, here, 335 4th Av(enue) Southwest, or they can give us a call at 693 2271, and we can arrange a pickup as well, and we'll take it down to Sarcan, and all of those donations will be made to the Senior's Association for the Timothy Eaton Gardens."

Moose Jaw Families for Change is looking to be a real force for good this summer and has many events and activities planned for families, and more fundraising to come.

"You'll notice we'll be doing some Tea Time stuff throughout the summer, so we'll be still partnering with our musician friend, John Dale "Johnny Two-Fingers", we'll see some more inclusion with Kyra, so Kyra Klassen with Dance Fitness with Kyra, and you'll also expect to see some different outdoor events as well, with the nice weather. And Folks can see all of our updated events on our Facebook Page, which is just Moose Jaw Families for Change." said Katie Statler, who spoke about the massive number of upcoming events coming up.

"We've been pretty busy at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre, we're always busy out in the community every week doing some different volunteering. We partner with Safeway, we partner with the Windmill Greenhouse, which is the new program for us, obviously seasonal. We partner with the Rainbow Retro, with Moose Jaw Pride, and the Wandering Market."

MJFC is looking to raise money up and through until July, saying they have a goal of between $500-1000 and hope to extend the fundraising efforts further forwards into the summer.
