Motorists will get some relief at some gas stations in Moose Jaw on Friday afternoon. At least five stations have dropped their price by  five cents to 184.9 according to GasBuddy.

At the time of publishing, three stations are still showing a price 189.9 cents per litre, with two reporting a price over 190.9.

This marks the second time in a week that gas prices have dropped in Moose Jaw, as a week ago prices dropped 10 cents from 199.9 to 189.9.

GasBuddy Petroleum Analyst, Patrick DeHaan said earlier this week that gas could drop even more in the coming weeks.

“I hope so. I’m hopeful that we could see prices move down another 10 cents a litre. So long as there are no disruptions that are unexpected, we are coming to the peak of hurricane season here in the next few weeks. Barring any outside factors, I do think we will continue to inch down, like I said it wouldn’t surprise me if we get down to 179.9, or we could even drop to 169.9 in the next few weeks,” said DeHaan in an interview with Discover Moose Jaw on Wednesday.

As of Friday afternoon the most expensive gas in Canada is Golden, BC at 214.9, with the cheapest being in Lac La Biche, Alta, with a price of 144.5 cents per litre.
