Peggy is tough to miss, as she stands 7 feet tall and has been a prominent centrepiece in the lobby of the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery (MJMAG) since 2016.

The giant filly was sculpted out of bronze by Joe Fafard, originally from Pense, who has had his sculptures exhibited all around the world.

Curatorial Director of the MJMAG, Jennifer McRorie, says Peggy has become a fixture of the museum and a fan favourite.

"Joe said he created her that big because he wanted adults to stand in front of her and look up at her with the aw that you would have if you were a two-year-old," says McRorie.

McRorie is hoping to make Peggy a permanent part of Moose Jaw's public art collection at the museum, but she comes at quite the pretty penny.

So the MJMAG is looking to keep Peggy in the lobby with a 50/50 raffle. The raffle closes today, Aug.13 at 4:00 pm, with one lucky winner taking home half of the jackpot.

So far, the total stands at over $11,000.

You can buy 1 ticket for $10, 4 for $20, 25 for $50, or 100 for $100.

You can buy tickets for the raffle here.

Tickets for the raffle are not available for purchase in person at the museum or over the phone. The only way to get tickets is online.
