The future is looking quite different for our local MLAs.

With the announcement of MLA Moose Jaw North Warren Michelson not seeking re-election, MLA Wakamow Greg Lawrence was uncontested in his riding. He noted that despite not having some in the Saskatchewan Party race vying for the same spot, he'll still be doing the work as if there were.

"Every spring, summer, and fall we get out and knock on as many doors as we can and talk to as many people as we can. As elected representatives, because that's the best way to get people's input on how you're doing and see how the government's doing, in general, is get out and talk to them on their doorsteps."

Lawrence also added that he was surprised by the announcement from Michelson earlier this week, noting that it was a pleasure to work alongside him.

"I was shocked, to say the least like I've said he is a good representative for Moose Jaw North and a great representative for the Saskatchewan Party."

The pair will continue to jointly to work for the citizen of Moose Jaw and people throughout the province for the next year and nine months, but they will eventually go different directions when the 2020 provincial elections arrive.
