Our city has been selected for a significant grant after some dedicated individuals showed why we were better than 11 other cities across the country.

 

The City of Moose Jaw is receiving a significant grant from the federal government thanks to the work of a few dedicated individuals.

Through the 2007 Culture Capitals of Canada Program, our city will receive up to 500,000 dollars in cultural funding.

In a press release from the federal Heritage Department, Moose Jaw is commended for our commitment to the arts and culture through in our "Year of the Creative Person."

The release goes on to say our strong sense of community spirit will be highlighted throughout the year as a 2007 Cultural Capital of Canada.

Moose Jaw was selected as a Culture Capital from the under 50,000 people category that included 11 other applicants from across the country.
