Moose Jaw Police Service has issued a warrant for Jesse Wenarchuk, 41, who was arrested following three break-and-enter incidents on Sept. 17 and 18. Wenarchuk is wanted after failing to appear following those incidents.
Wenarchuk was charged with break and enter with intent after allegedly trying to break down doors on the 200 block of Athabasca Street West and 100 block of Stadacona Street West. One resident reported hiding with a child while an intruder broke through a door's glass pane before police arrived and arrested the suspect in a nearby alleyway.
He was released the following morning with conditions to stay away from specific addresses and a court date set for Oct. 9. Police confirmed Wednesday that Wenarchuk is now wanted for break and enter with intent (two counts), mischief under $5,000, and failure to appear.
Wenarchuk is described as five-foot-seven, 161 pounds, with brown hair (balding), hazel eyes and a beard.
Anyone with information about Wenarchuk's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Moose Jaw Police Service at 306-694-7600 or Moose Jaw Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
