An anthrax scare in Regina ends up involving Moose Jaw Police while other officers deal with a truck hitting a light pole Tuesday night.

An anthrax scare in Regina has reached Moose Jaw after a truck believed to be involved was spotted here in the Friendly City Tuesday night.

The incident at the Canada Post Processing Centre around 8 o'clock led to the building being evacuated and three people being decontaminated in a make shift shower after coming into contact with an unknown white powder. The powder was discovered in a package the staff was sorting.

The incident in Regina is still under investigation but the link to Moose Jaw turned out to be nothing. The truck in Moose Jaw was wanted as a precautionary measure and was later released.

Regina Police continue to investigate the situation and the white powder has yet to be identified, but is believed to be a controlled substance.

Then a truck hit a light standard on Main Street north near the Trans Canada highway sometime last night. Police found the vehicle several kilometres away north of the city around midnight.

The driver is facing a number of charges as a result.
