The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has a 33-year-old in custody following a foot pursuit in the South Hill area on Thursday morning. 

Myles Joseph Neill of Moose Jaw has been charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of firearm while prohibited, uttering death threats, break and enter, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and several other offences.

On Thursday morning, police attended a residence on South Hill regarding a suspicious man going through a number of yards.  Upon arrival, the man, who was known to police and wanted on outstanding warrants, fled on foot. Neill was wanted for a previous home invasion that involved a firearm.

The MJPS then called the Canine Unit who helped to locate the man. The police also air support for other jurisdictions as well as a drone on standby but were not needed.

Cornerstone Christian School was in lockdown during the police presence but has since opened back up.

Neill will appear in Provincial Court on Friday.
