The unpredictable winter continues in southern Saskatchewan as a pretty big change to the forecast has been made overnight.

Weather officials have delayed that warm up to Thursday instead of Wednesday, so we'll be stuck in this deepfreeze for another two days.  -35 with the windchill today and -43 tomorrow as this "polar vortex" starts to work out of the area.

While forecasters have been calling for a significant warm up to end the week, this might come as a surprise. They're now calling for +1 on Friday but that might not be good news. With streets in less than ideal condition, the warm air will help to melt some of the ice and snow that's built up but with snow in the forecast for the weekend, it could be even worse for the drive to work on Monday.

After they were all cancelled yesterday due to the cold weather, it would appear most school buses are back up and running today in the Moose Jaw area. The Prairie South website says there are no cancellations for today and there's just one bus cancellation for Holy Trinity. #4 will not be running for St Margaret or for St Agnes.
