There will be something for everyone when the Old Wives Lake Festival returns to Mossbank from July 19 to 21.

The festival kicks off with a golf tournament on Friday. Other events taking place include the Justinsane Barbie Car Club Show and Shine, a street market, pancake breakfast and live music in the evenings featuring JJ Voss and Detour.

“We have a bunch of kids stuff going on this year, a little more than we’ve had other years. We have a princess and superheroes party. It’s going to be quite busy,” said one of the organizers, Gwen Kowalski.

The Mossbank Museum will be open during the festival and blacksmithing demonstrations will once again be taking place.

“Don Fox is there again. He’s the blacksmith, and he’ll be there both days. There will be some tours of the museum, but there will be limited because we don’t have as much help this year,” Kowalski said.

New to the festival this year will be the Old Wives Lake Festival Tractor Pull. The competition takes place on July 20 and 21. Those interested in registering or would like more details can contact Jake Peters at (306) 313-9167.
