Deb Higgins is part of the NDP Leadership Committee
A rebuilding NDP will announce their expectations Monday as they officially start the search for a new leader.
You may remember the NDP were left wondering what happened in the 2011 provincial election when they won just nine seats in the Saskatchewan Legislature. Not even leader Dwain Lingenfelter was able to hold onto his seat and would later resign, the first time an NDP leader was not able to get re-elected.
Former Moose Jaw Wakamow MLA Deb Higgins is taking part in a news conference Monday in Regina to kick off the leadership race. So far, no one has officially stepped up and said they are interested in the job.
