Labour Critic David Forbes

Your Work, Your Say.  That was the message Monday night at the Heritage Inn, as the NDP held a public consultation in response to the Sask Party plan to re-write the labour legislation in the province.

Guest speaker, NDP Labour Critic David Forbes, is worried that Saskatchewan is heading in the wrong direction, saying it's not what drew people here in the first place.

"For example our three week vacation period, if you go to Alberta it's two weeks. That's an edge that we have here but we're losing it.  One really big example is that we have the lowest minimum wage in Canada. What does that say about a 'have' province?"

Forums are being held in nine communities altogether.  Following the public consultation, the NDP will be submitting a complete report to the Sask Party government.
