Venga Aerospace and ARINC team up to present their ideas for replacing the aging Snowbirds Tutor jets.

It was an unsolicited proposal but our federal government is listening.

Venga Aerospace Systems of Canada and American company ARINC have teamed up with a proposal to replace our aging Snowbird Tutor jets with 18 newer, safer and superior Hawk jet aircraft.

Hirsh Kwinter is President of Venga Aerospace and tells us about their proposal. "The new Hawk is faster and safer... it’s more fuel efficient by about 35 percent and because it’s faster it gives them more capability as to where they can perform. We were able to do an apples to apples comparison with the Canadian military to show that they could fly these planes within the existing budget that they are flying the existing tutors."

The Venga Aerospace proposal includes a plan for them to set up shop at 15 Wing and service the Hawks and, they say that alone would create at least 35 new jobs.
