Every day new technologies are changing the way we live.  Now that includes how we read at the Palliser Regional Library.

The library announced today the introduction of a new app called SILS, which is short for Saskatchewan Information and Library Services Consortium.

Once users are logged on to the app they will be able to search for books and library resource material. In addition users can manage their library account and borrow materials using the bar code inside the app.

Jan Smith the Director of the Palliser Regional Library said in a statement, "We are please to announce the availability of this new app for Palliser Regional Library patrons.  The app is easy to use and patrons who already use their phones for everything will find it very convenient".

The app is available for both apple and android devices.

The Palliser Regional Library has 20 branches across southern Saskatchewan including a branch on South Hill in Moose Jaw.
