Deb Thorn welcomed stakeholders to Sunflower Manor Monday

With the help of all three levels of government, Moose Jaw's newest housing development was unveiled Monday on 4th Avenue SW and it was a new type of build for our city.

Sunflower Manor held their ribbon cutting and President Deb Thorn was very proud of the work that was completed to bring the project to life.

"The units came out of Grandeur Housing in Winkler, Manitoba and they travelled from Winkler to Moose Jaw, they were staged off site and then we used Alliance Crane to crane them into place in one day." explained Thorn. "At 10 o'clock in the morning, there was nothing and then by 6 o'clock we had an apartment building there sitting to be finished."

The six apartments all have tenants with the last family actually planning to move in Tuesday.  Thorn says they're considering future projects but need to put the wraps on this one first since Mother Nature has delayed some of their landscaping.
