Freddie Mercury was born on this day, September 5, 1946.

To commemorate what would be the singer's 73rd birthday, the Mercury Pheonix Trust and Universal Music Group have released a new video for the song "Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow," taken from Freddie's debut solo album 'Mr. Bad Guy.'

The new video is described by Universal Music Group as a "visual accompaniment to Mercury’s 1985 track [that] honors his life and legacy in a compelling short story about the power of love, while continuing to bring awareness to the global fight against AIDS."

Mercury is regarded as one of the greatest lead singers in the history of rock music. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Queen released a total of 14 albums, which resulted in 53 Top 40 singles, six of which went to Number 1.

Freddie Mercury passed away on November 24, 1991, but was able to reach the Billboard Top 40 Charts three more times - twice with Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in 1991 and 2018, and again with a song from his solo album titled 'Living on my Own' in 1993.
