Paislee McKay has a story to tell.  She'll just need a few years to be able to tell it.

Paislee was born Tuesday morning (October 20) to parents Chantel and Wade, and was the final baby to ever be delivered at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.

"It'll be neat to tell her when she's older that she was the last one born there," said Paislee's mom Chantel, who spoke with us from her room in the new Dr. F.H. Wigmore regional hospital.  Chantel and baby were transfered to the new facility Tuesday night and, as of October 21, all patients from the MJUH have been moved to the new facility.

"(Tuesday) was very chaotic, there were people in and out of our room constantly" Chantel said, adding that the care from doctors and nurses was excellent, and that it was "quite a switch" between her room at the MJUH and the new women's health unit at the Wigmore. "It's very modern," Chantel said of the new hospital.

McKay has two other children who were born at the MJUH and she said that "it's nice they were all (including Paislee) born in the same place."
