Dave Batters is back in Moose Jaw this week to gather information before heading back to Ottawa next month for the Fall Sitting of Parliament.

Our local Member of Parliament was in town Tuesday visiting with our seniors. Dave Batters was trying to find out their concerns so he can take them back to Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

Joe Dayne met with Batters at Bentley and tells us our province needs more seniors' homes. "Whether it’s provincial or federal he needs to look at senior's homes. This here is our right! You do have to take care of yourself but when you need special care there isn't enough of them."

Batters has more meeting planned in Moose Jaw Thursday with local residents before attending a meeting Friday afternoon with local elected officials to talk about the MultiPlex Project and possible funding from the federal government. Friday night Batters will also work on the graveyard shift with the Moose Jaw Police Service to learn about what they encounter on a normal shift.
