Starting in 2021, Pla-Mor Palace will undergo upgrades for a "Real Ice" system.

Just over $526,000 has been allocated from the City of Moose Jaw for the two-year project.

The arena will also undergo a cross-connection protection replacement, heat exchanger replacement, and roof repairs.

The implementation of the ice system will provide energy efficiencies as it allows ice surfaces to be resurfaced using cold water, reducing the consumption of natural gas and the electrical demand of ice plants and dehumidifiers.
