Peace Akintade is an African Canadian poet, public speaker, and thespian residing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan's Youth Poet Laureate and Co-cordinator of Write Out Loud, a Saskatoon-based Youth Poetry Community.  Her poems touch on the impact of colonization in her village, growing up in Kuwait, Nigeria and Canada, and relearning her culture with art.

Peace is looking forward to her first ever appearance at the Saskatchewan Festival of Words this July in Moose Jaw.  We're hoping we can all get together in-person for this summer's festival.

Peace joined us on a recent edition of The Heartland at Noon and gave us a little taste of what we can expect from her this summer!  Have a listen.
