Moose Jaw Police responded to 56 calls for service.

10:08 am – Suspicious Person – A suspicious person was hanging around the area for an extended period of time. The subject was gone upon police arrival, and a description of the subject and picture were shown to police to keep an eye out for them.

10:57 am – Suspicious Occurrence – There was a report of suspicious activity on a computer; police continue to investigate.

11:20 am – MVC – There was a two vehicle MVC with no injuries. No vehicles were towed, and the damage is estimated at $5,000.

12:12 pm – Theft – There was a report of a vehicle entered and rummaged through. Some parking meter change was taken, and this was reported for information purposes.

12:25 pm – Dangerous Driving – There was a report of a dispute over driving actions. Police spoke to both parties involved, the dispute was mediated, and the subjects were warned for their driving actions and for road rage.

12:42 pm – There was a report of a dog in a parked vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted.

12:49 pm – Other Bylaw – There was a report of someone driving without a valid licence endorsement. The subject was spoken to, warned, and advised to return the motorcycle.

1:08 pm – Mischief – Sometime overnight vehicles were egged. This was reported for information purposes.

2:26 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties, and options were provided.

2:34 pm – Dispute – The caller stated there was an unwanted guest outside the residence. The subject was gone upon police arrival, and they spoke to the complainant who just wishes for the subject to be spoken and advised to stay away. The subject was located and spoken to.

3:45 pm – Theft – There was a theft of 4 tires off of a vehicle. The loss is estimated at $1,000, and this is still under investigation.

4:01 pm – Fraud – A subject provided a credit card to “Fast Support” over the computer, and now the subject has $880 charged on the credit card. This is still under investigation.

4:13 pm – Driving Erratic – There was a report of an erratic driver doing donuts with a plate number obtained. Police are to speak to the registered owner and warn them.

4:35 pm – Dispute – A dispute occurred between two parties over civil family matters, and the subjects were warned.

4:42 pm – Dangerous Driving – There was a report of people speeding in a posted 30/kmh speed limit construction zone. Two warnings and one ticket were issued.

4:44 pm – Hit and Run – This occurred on July 11th. SGI forms were filled out and submitted.

5:18 pm – Unwanted Guest – There was a report of a dispute between two parties, with one party saying an assault took place. Police attended and spoke to the complainant, who advised that no assault had taken place, but only said that to scare the other subject involved into leaving. The complaint was warned for making a false allegation. No further police action was required as the other party was gone upon police arrival.

6:31 pm – Dispute – A dispute took place between two parties. Police attended and both subjects had left the residence. Police re-attended later and spoke to the parties when they had returned home. In speaking with the subjects separately, they both claimed the dispute was verbal only and didn’t wish for any police involvement.

7:09 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two subjects on Facebook. The dispute is to be documented as per the complainant’s wishes.

7:28 pm – Intoxicated Person – An intoxicated person entered a business and was being rude and belligerent to staff. The subject was located and held in cells until sober.

7:38 pm – Parking Bylaw – There was a report of a transport parked in a residential area. The registered owners were contacted and advised to move the truck and were warned under the bylaw.

8:18 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties, and options were given to a complainant. This is still under investigation to contact the other party involved.

10:56 pm – Well-Being Check – A complainant requested a well-being check on a friend they haven’t been able to get a hold of. The subject was located in fine health, and the friend was advised.

11:19 pm – Breach Recognizance – A subject was found to be failing to maintain an approved residence and was subsequently charged for breaching their court order.

11:38 pm – Trespass – A complainant was having troubles with a couple of people coming onto their property knowing they are not welcome there. The subjects were warned to stay off of the property.

1:21 am – MVC – A two vehicle MVC with no injuries occurred, with the damage estimated at $15,000. Both vehicles were towed, one driver was charged with proceeding from a stop sign before safe and driving an unregistered vehicle. Both vehicles were towed.
