Moose Jaw Police responded to 40 calls for service.
7:39 am – Dangerous Driving – A plate number was obtained from a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner. The area was searched for the vehicle; however, it was not located. Police are to speak with the registered owner.
8:55 am – Break & Enter – Sometime overnight a residence was entered and property was taken. Police are investigating to obtain statements and speak with the suspect.
9:59 am – Motor Vehicle Accident – This occurred on August 10. A vehicle with Alberta plates collided with a cement post, causing approximately $3000 of damage to the vehicle. This was reported as a vehicle from another province.
10:47 am – Traffic Bylaw – A commercial truck was driving on a route not classified as a truck route. Police are to look into this further.
12:04 pm – Well Being Check – Contact was made with the subject, who is in good health.
12:15 pm – Other Bylaw – A dog was left in a vehicle in parking lot for an extended period of time with the vehicle not running. The owner was located and warned.
2:32 pm – Assault – Police were contacted after a subject trashed a residence. The subject was located and charged with assault and breach of court order. The individual was released on conditions and is to attend court at a later date.
5:21 pm – Fraud – Police continue to investigate.
7:05 pm – Insecurity – The door was open at a residence. Police attended and no sign of forced entry were found. It appeared that the owner was renovating and did not close the door all the way.
7:54 pm – Assist Fire Dept – There was a transformer fire on a power pole. This was dealt with by the MJ Fire Department and SaskPower.
7:57 pm – Assist EMS – The subject was transported to hospital by EMS.
8:16 pm – Hit & Run – A vehicle was backed into by another vehicle, causing approximately $2000 of damage. The offending vehicle’s registered owner was issued two summary offence tickets by way of the registered owner.
9:17 pm – Disturbance – A subject previously evicted from a residence attended back to get property, causing an argument. The subject left on police request.
9:32 pm – Assist Fire Dept – There was a transformer fire on a power pole. This was dealt with by the MJ Fire Department and SaskPower.
10:06 pm – Dispute – A property dispute occurred and all parties are to be spoken to.
11:48 pm – Intoxicated Person – A subject was passed out on a sidewalk. The subject was detained for being drunk in public and was held until sober.
12:28 am – Intoxicated Person – A subject was passed out on a sidewalk. Sober family and friends were located to take care of the subject.
12:36 am – Noise Bylaw – A subject was warned regarding the noise.
12:59 am – Evade Police – A vehicle failed to stop for police with emergency lights activated. The vehicle was involved in a collision a short time later, causing approximately $15000 of damage. The driver was transported to hospital by EMS while a passenger fled on foot. Charges are pending and police continue to investigate.
1:10 am – Assist EMS – A subject was assaulted, causing a broken arm. The subject was transported to hospital by EMS, and police continue to investigate.
3:55 am – Disturbance – A subject was reportedly flying a drone in city limits. Police continue to investigate.
