Police and Fire report

Moose Jaw Police received 38 calls for service. 

8:28 am – Hit and Run reported on the 800 block of 3^rd Avenue NW. A vehicle was hit sometime overnight causing $200 in damage. Police continue to investigate. 

8:31 am – Two vehicle accident reported on Athabasca Street W and 5^th Avenue NW. No injuries to report and the damages are estimated at $5,000. One of the drivers was charged. 

9:43 am – Hit and Run reported on the 500 block of Thatcher Drive E. Damage is estimated at $2,000 and the matter is still under investigation. 

10:58 am – Hit and Run reported on the 1200 block of Main Street N. Damage estimated at $1,000, the matter is still under investigation. 

11:32 am – Single vehicle accident reported on Main Street N at Manitoba Street E. Damages are estimated at $5,000, one ticket issued. 

11:48 am – Police were called to assist to locate on the 1100 block of Currie Crescent. The subject was located and returned to school.

12:06 pm – Shoplifting reported on the 1200 block of Main Street N. Theft of merchandise, still under investigation for charges. 

12:18 pm – Two vehicle accident reported on 4^th Avenue NW and Hochelaga Street W. Both vehicles required towing, one minor injury, one charge for fail to yield to vehicle on the right, one charge of driver unregistered motor vehicle. Damage estimated at $12,000. 

12:18 pm – Hit and Run reported on the 500 block of Thatcher Drive E. Hit and run to vehicle causing $500, still under investigation. 

12:31 pm – Two vehicle accident reported on 9^th Avenue NW and Caribou Street W. Accident resulted in $15,000 in damage, one vehicle required towing, one charge disobey red light, and one individual was charged for driving while suspended.

2:03 pm - Two vehicle accident reported on Main Street N and Thatcher Drive E resulting in $2000.00 in damages. One vehicle was towed and one individual was charged for proceeding before safe. 

3:50 pm – Shoplifting reported on the 200 block of 1^st Avenue NW. Subject charged with theft and breach recognizance, held in cells for court in the morning.

5:41pm – Dispute reported on the1000 block of Willow Avenue. Verbal dispute between two parties, one party left prior to police arrival, still under investigation to speak to the other party involved. 

6:48 pm – Dispute reported on the 900 block of Athabasca Street E. Police spoke to both parties involved and the situation was mediated.

8:27 pm – Threats reported on the 1200 block of Stadacona Street W. Statement taken, still under investigation for charges. 

8:58 pm – Dispute reported on the 0 block of Maple Street E. Dispute between three parties. Complainant provided statement and discussed options available. Documented at this time as per complainants wishes. 

10:11 pm – Unwanted guest reported on the 900 block of Hochelaga Street W. Unwanted guest wandering the halls and banging on doors. Subject arrested and was charged with breaching court order. The individual was held in cells for court in the morning.
