Police and Fire report

Moose Jaw police received 48 calls for service.  

12:11 pm – Police were called to the 1100 block of Athabasca Street E to assist the EMS. An adult was upset and banged his head on the wall. He had a minor cut and refused EMS. The individual left for a walk to calm down. 

12:14 pm – Vehicle seized a vehicle from the 0 block of Fairford Street W. Plates found expired on vehicle parked on the street.  

1:19 pm – Erratic driving reported on the 0 block of Carrington Drive. Vehicle noted speeding daily through the neighbourhood. The matter is still under investigation.  

3:35 pm – Threats reported on the 1300 block of 12^th Avenue SW. Adults involved do not wish for police involvement. Call came in from a third party. 

3:45 pm – Dispute reported on the 400 block of Ominica Street W. Property dispute that was resolved upon police arrival. 

4:49 pm – Unknown 911 call place to the 0 block of Thorn Crescent. Adult calling to have someone come and light the pilot light on furnace.  Caller was advised to call appropriate business for service. 

5:16 pm – dangerous dog reported on the 900 block of Holdsworth Crescent. Dog tied up but on leash long enough to reach street. The individual was concerned for dog and pedestrians walking by. The matter is still under investigation to speak to the dog owner.  

6:02 pm – Threats reported on the 800 block of 4^th Avenue NW. Adult receiving threats from another adult. The matter is still under investigation to identify suspect.

6:03 pm – Driver seen to be using cell phone while vehicle in motion on 9^th Avenue NW and Caribou Street W. License plate number obtained, and the matter is still under investigation SUI to speak with owner of vehicle. 

6:47 pm – Theft reported on the 0 block of Wood Lily Drive. $50 worth of Diesel taken without payment. Video obtained, the matter is still under investigation.  

8:22 pm – Suspicious vehicle inside new bike park.  Vehicle and occupants located and advised to keep car outside in parking lot. 

9:41 pm – Trespassing reported on the 400 block of Stadacona Street W. Two adults previously warned to stay off property returned. A  Statement to be taken for charges. 

10:36 pm – Dispute reported on the 0 block of Aster Crescent. Dispute over $30 parking ticket turned into hate messages on facebook. The situation was mediated.

11:36 pm – Assault reported on the 500 block of Home Street W. Intoxicated adults arguing which led to a physical altercation. The matter is still under investigation to get a sober statement. 

1:42 am – Police were called to assist the EMS on the 200 block of Coteau Street E. Police assisted EMS in gaining entry to residence where adult had fallen and couldn’t get up. The individual was taken to the hospital for treatment.

2:39 am – Police were called to the 0 block of Carrington Drive regarding mischief. Youth individual was upset by rumours damaged door and possessed a knife. Charged with breaching his two Court Orders. 

3:55 am – Fare fraud reported on the 1000 block of Willow Avenue. Taxi from Regina transported passenger to Moose Jaw.  Passenger took off without paying the $120 fare. The incident is caught on video. The matter is still under investigation.
