Moose Jaw Police responded to 41 calls for service. 

9:21 am – 600 block Main St N – Harassing Calls – A complainant was receiving unwanted text messages. This was documented for information purposes.

10:46 am – 0 block Flax Rd – Dispute – A property dispute was mediated by police.

11:29 am – 100 block Calypso Dr – Fraud – A complainant provided personal information to an online scam. No money was lost, and the individual changed their online password and advised their bank.

11:29 am – 200 block Lillooet St E – Assault – A dispute between two adults turned violent. One subject was charged with assault and was released on conditions with a later court date.

12:07 pm – 300 block Athabasca St W – Over-Parked Trailer – A utility trailer was parked in the same spot for three days. The registered owner was contacted and moved the trailer.  The public is reminded that utility/work trailers can never be left unattached on a city street.

2:06 pm – 800 block 9th Av NE – Recovered Stolen Property – A bag full of various stolen items was found by benches near a baseball field. The complainant contacted police as the person they had seen leaving the bag matched the description of a suspect already in custody on other charges. The stolen items were returned.

2:45 pm – 0 block Thatcher Dr E – Shoplifting – A subject stole multiple items from a commercial establishment and later returned the property when confronted by an employee. Police are still investigating for charges.

3:01 pm – 1100 block 5th Av NW – Break and Enter – A suspect attempted to break in the door of a residence. No entry was gained, but there was approximately $300 worth of damage.

4:37 pm – 0 block MacDonald St – Hit and Run – A suspect vehicle collided with a complainant’s vehicle and damaged the passenger rear side quarter panel. Police contacted the registered owner of the suspect vehicle. Police are still investigating to follow up.

4:59 pm – 1500 block Grace St – Traffic Bylaw – A skidoo was seen riding down the street. The owner of the vehicle was warned by police and informed of the bylaw, which states that Snowmobiles and ATVs are not allowed to operate on city streets.

5:42 pm – 1200 block 11th Av SW – Theft of Auto – A vehicle was reported stolen by the registered owner. The vehicle was later found and the suspect is charged with possession of stolen property and breaching a court order.

8:19 pm – 0 block Coteau St W – Dispute – A subject had left a residence after a verbal dispute with another resident. The subject was later located by police and was taken home.

9:10 pm – 500 block Thatcher Dr E – Assault – A complainant stepped into a verbal disagreement between two subjects. The complainant was then shoved by the suspect. Police are still investigating to follow up.

9:26 pm – 1200 block 9th Av NE – Breach of Court Order – A subject was found to be drinking alcohol, which was contrary to their court order. The subject was detained and charged for breaching their court order.

11:58 pm – 100 block Manitoba St E – Motor Vehicle Accident – A vehicle collided with a power pole. There was approximately $20,000 worth of damage and the vehicle was towed.

1:26 am – 1300 block Gordon Rd – Dispute – There was a verbal disagreement between adults, and one party left prior to police arrival.

3:52 am – 800 block Fairford St E – Break, Enter and Theft – A garage was entered sometime overnight. A bike was stolen and police are still investigating.

4:25 am – 0 block Wood Lily Dr – Assist Locate – A youth missing from Lloydminster was reported to possibly be in Moose Jaw. Known locations were checked with negative results.
