Police responded to 31 calls for service.

7:38 am – 500 block 9TH AV NW – Unwanted Guest – A verbal dispute occurred between two parties, with one being removed from the residence.

8:06 am – 0 block Hochelaga St E – Assist Other Agency – A subject was sleeping in a vehicle, not responding to people trying to wake her.  The subject was woken and okay. They went to a friend’s house.

8:20 am – 0 block Thatcher Dr E – Theft – A subject was caught on video throwing items over a fence while a business was closed. A description was provided.  Upon police arrival the subject was gone; police are still investigating to view the video.

8:47 am – 1100 block Warner St – Mischief – Sometime overnight a golf ball was thrown at the back window of a vehicle, causing approximately $300 of damage.

9:10 am – 200 block High St E – MVA – An out of province vehicle was backed into by another vehicle, and the plate number was obtained. Police are to speak with the offending vehicle’s driver.

2:07 pm – 0 block Avens Rd – Theft Under – An unlocked vehicle was entered and a wallet and two sets of keys were taken.

3:55 pm – 1200 block Main St N – Theft Under – A subject stole fireworks.  The subject was located at home and the property was returned. The subject was warned in the presence of a parent.

6:39 pm – 0 block Home St E – Dispute – An altercation occurred between two parties, but it was over prior to police arrival, with the subjects involved gone from the area.

9:39 pm – 0 block Thatcher Dr E – Well Being Check – Subjects were located at home and found to be in good health.  No concern for their well being.

11:33 pm – 1st Av NE at Athabasca St E – Impaired Driving – A routine traffic stop resulted in a driver being issued an ASD demand.  The result was a fail and the subject was detained.  Further breath samples resulted in the driver being charged for exceeding .08, impaired driving and driving while disqualified from doing so in Canada.  The subject was released from custody and is to appear in court at a later date.  The vehicle was seized for 30 days.

2:07 am – 900 block Ross St E – Assist to Locate – A teenager snuck out of a residence through the bedroom window.  The subject was located by a parent and taken home.

Police responded to two 911 calls.
Police assisted other agencies in two instances.
Police completed three curfew checks, with one pending charges.
Police executed five warrants.
