Of the 25 active cases located in the South-Central zone, 20 are in the sub-region 'South-Central 2', which is comprised of Moose Jaw and the surrounding area

Another resident who had tested positive for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan has died, as 240 new cases of the virus were confirmed on Monday, and 217 new recoveries.

The resident who died was in the 80 plus age group from the north-central zone.

Of the new cases, 49 are in Saskatoon, 42 in Regina, 36 in the northeast, 33 in the northwest, 30 in the central-east, 17 in the far northwest, 12 north-central, six in the southeast, five in the central-west, three in the far northeast, two in the far north-central, and there are 2 in the south-central zone. Three cases are pending resident information.

3,272 cases are considered active, and 202 people are in hospital with 170 receiving inpatient care, and 32 are in intensive care

Premier Scott Moe and Saskatchewan's Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab, will be providing an update on Tuesday in regards to current health guidelines which are set to be reviewed Friday, and to update the public on their vaccine distribution plans. 

The government of Saskatchewan will also start posting wait times for all drive-thru testing sites online on their website here.

Wait times will be updated three to four times per day, depending on the hours of operation for each site. Wait times are approximate and can change very quickly.

Testing at the drive-thru sites is available to anyone who requests it, regardless of whether they have symptoms. A referral from HealthLine 811 or a family physician is not required, however, a valid health card and/or identification will be requested.
