Rain poured on Moose Jaw Thursday night as a storm rolled through the area.

Localized flooding was seen in many areas of the city. The rain began pouring hard on Moose Jaw at about 10 p.m., leaving many residents to check their basements.

Although local amounts differed depending on where people were in the city and area, Environment Canada said that 19 mm of rain fell on Moose Jaw Thursday, which included a little bit in the afternoon, and 23.1 mm fell in Regina.

Although barricades were up around some underpasses, police reported several vehicles needing to be towed out of those areas between 10:30 and midnight.

Swift Current, Elbow and Assiniboia recorded none Thursday.
