RCMP are thanking those who took part in their live Twitter event on New Year's Eve but are also disappointed with some of the people using their 911 service in Saskatchewan.

In four hours, their communications centre took in over 180 phone calls for service and while a lot of them were for legit emergencies like collisions or impaired drivers, some should not have been made at all.  One was to wish police a Happy New Years while another was to report bed bugs in a hotel.

The RCMP would like to remind the public that 911 should only be used in emergency situations because other calls take away from real emergencies which other people could be experiencing.
