Now that Riverside Mission is offering lunch services again, along with supper, they are in need of food donations.

Emergency Services Manager, Rachel Mullens, explains what type of food they are looking for.

"We're coming up to our Christmas meal, which is December 22, and we do need some items for that; turkeys, buns, frozen vegetables. Other things that we need regularly would be things like pasta and rice."

Mullens says that there was also a small water leak at the Mission recently as well, which has affected their sugar and flour supply, saying they could use donations of those items as well.

And food isn't the only thing needed at the Mission.

"We'll always take mitts, toques, gloves, and scarves. People are always asking for them and we're more than willing to hand them out when we've got them".

She also added that over the last eight months, the city of Moose Jaw has been incredibly generous and helpful during such a turbulent time in many of our lives.

"We just want to say thank you to the community; they've been amazing to us during this pandemic time. We get lots of people wanting to know how they can help and support us, so we just want the community of Moose Jaw to know that we appreciate their support."
