Rubarb Productions is moving to a very familiar new home.

Rubarb, which is Moose Jaw's professional theatre company, announced Friday morning that they are leaving their office at 321 Main Street North and will utilize space at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre, effective June 1 of this year. The Cultural Centre houses the Mae Wilson theatre - the venue in which Rubarb hosts their productions.

Rubarb Productions was created in 2006 by Creative Director Evie Koop-Sawatzky, and they incorporated into a non-profit entity in 2013.

In a media conference Friday morning, Koop-Sawatzky said "after 11 years of producing more than 35 productions at this address, Rubarb Productions and Rubarb School of Performing Arts will become tenants of the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre, 217 Main Street North."

Not only does Rubarb Productions offer a number of musical theatre productions each year, they also have a School of Performing Arts for aspiring young singers and actors.
