Every year during the Christmas season, Moose Jaw's Salvation Army strives to ensure that all families are able to enjoy it.

In 2018, the Salvation Army processed 453 holiday season applications.

Dan Broome, the Director of Community and Family Services at the Salvation Army, said they raised $62,515 through their annual Kettle Campaign. "It was fantastic support from the community of Moose Jaw," said Broome. "We're kind of overwhelmed how good we did this year."

Through their Toy Days drive, the Salvation Army was able to provide toys to 1,100 children in Moose Jaw this past Christmas.

Through the combination of their Kettle Campaign, letter appeals, Stocking Fund, and individual donations, the Salvation Army's donation total for this past Christmas was close to $100,000.

"We never go into a season knowing exactly how much we anticipate we're going to receive," said Broome. "The community of Moose Jaw was extremely generous. I thank the community of Moose Jaw for their generosity towards Salvation Army."

Broome said their goal "...is to help as many people who really need help, so no one can say they went without."
