The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency will be testing the SaskAlert system this afternoon, starting at 1:55 p.m.
SaskAlert is a Government of Saskatchewan program, which gives people in the province information when emergencies are occurring, including details on what is happening, where it is happening, how you can be safe, and when the situation has ended.
Testing of the system happens two times each year, and alerts will sound on radio, and will also appear on TV and compatible mobile devices, as well as on the SaskAlert App.
630 emergency alerts have been sent out this year via SaskAlert, with 594 of those providing information regarding weather conditions.
